Head Teacher
Rachel Tomlinson

My name is May.
My role in school is Year 6 teacher.
I love working at Barrowford because everybody is committed to doing what is best for our learners, and the learning environment feels safe, nurturing and fun!
It is my privilege to be a duty bearer for the rights of children. This is important to me because children deserve a learning environment that is safe, and to be able to advocate for their rights confidently. It is my privilege to witness what children can achieve when their rights are respected and their environment nurtures their flourishing.
Three words my family and friends would use to describe me are… committed, enthusiastic and colourful.
Lorna:
It is my privilege to be a duty bearer for the rights of children. This is important to me because every child deserves to feel supported and valued to reach their full potential.
