My name is Catherine Savage

My role in school is EYFS / Year 1 Classroom Teacher.  I also have the responsibility of the Educational Visits Co-ordinator.  I am a Safeguarding lead in EYFS.

It is my privilege to be a duty bearer for the rights of children. This is important to me because as an early years teacher I have the responsibility to look after children’s day to day physical needs. I have the responsibility to provide a range of fun and stimulating activities, creating curiosity and a love for learning. It is my responsibility to make children feel happy, safe and loved.

I love working at Barrowford School because every day is different and exciting.  The children and families are wonderful.  The staff are dedicated, friendly and create a lovely calm atmosphere.  Our school is a really special place to grow and learn.

Three words friends and family would use to describe me are happy, dedicated and hard working.
