At Barrowford Primary School, our goal is to support every child in achieving their full potential. We take a proactive approach to guide children through their learning journey, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.
While quality teaching is at the core of our educational approach, we recognise that some children may require additional support to meet their targets.
The Local Offer, developed by Lancashire, provides a comprehensive resource outlining the education, health, and social care provisions available for children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or disabilities. This includes support for those with and without Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Plans.
According to the SEND Code of Practice (January 2015, para 4.1), the Local Offer sets out what local authorities expect to be available and includes provisions they believe will realistically be provided in the area.
